Many years ago the wrong material was used when joining a copper pipe to the main water supply line as no dielectric fitting was used. I had to trace the pipe from the outside of the building to find where the leak coming from was inside. It also presented a walkway safety hazard as well. I had a plumber come in for a quick fix after hours and it was all sealed.
