As the company I.T. department grows, so does its need for servers and cooling. Whereas the previous server room configuration simply had a window air conditioner and limited space, my team and I conjoined the two individual portions of the room, sealed up the opening for the old window AC, and installed a mini split system. It cools better, sounds quieter, is more energy efficient, and uses less space. Additionally, this also allowed for the provisioning of a backup AC unit to keep on standby.
