A long time ago the company had purchased multiple large mezzanines but ultimately the idea was scrapped and they simply collected dust for years. I was in charge clearing out the large portion of the facility which they occupied as well as old equipment nearby. Everything that was discarded was recycled. Management was happy to reclaim the space, the recycling company was happy they acquired a large amount of materials, and I was happy that it all didn’t end up in a landfill.
