While 3D printing was previously restricted to at-home hobbyists in the past, it looks like technology has expanded to encompass large-scale structures which can be produced at a fraction of the costs of traditional building techniques. While conforming to local government codes and regulations is a process which is still being ironed out, this expanding technology aims to alleviate the housing crunch. The neighboring houses will be constructed by 3D printing companies Lennar and Icon.
